What kinds of inverts do you keep?
Giant clams, hermits, snails, and shrimp.

What is your favorite fish?
Choati leopard wrasse

What is your oldest fish?
Female black clown 13 months

What is your favorite coral?
Red Goniopora

What is your oldest coral?
Pink Millie, Red Goniopora, and tan acro all about 13 months.

Do you have a piece that you would consider to be the centerpiece, or maybe a piece you would like to grow out as a centerpiece?
I think the tan with green poylps acro really stands out in my tank. It was one of my first sps so it is a keeper.

What kind of lighting do you use?
All T-5.

What do you use primarily for filtration?
Oversized skimmer, LR

What do you feed and how often?
I feed a variety of different frozen foods, nori, and NLS pellets. The frozen foods I feed are: mysis, rods, marine cuisien, brine shrimp, cyclopleeze, and a few others. I feed 2-4 times a day, twice a day M-F and 4 times on the weekends. I believe a good diet is one of the most important ways to keep your fish fat and healthy.

Where do you try to keep your water parameters?
I keep nitrates 0- 5ppm, calc-400-420, alk-8-9 dkh, Ph 7.9-8.2. I don't measure phosphates because I don't have a good low range test kit.

What kind of salt mix do you use?
I have used Tropic Marine Pro, Reef Crystals, and currently I am trying DD H20 pro. I think all of them work well. I don't like to have to add things to my salt to bump up levels so I have been looking for a salt that matches my reef parameters fairly close. I think the DD is closest.

How often do you do water changes?
It varies depending on my work schedule, but I never go more than 2 weeks without changing at least 15%.

What kinds of testing equipment do you use?
I have a pinpoint ph and orp probe. I use API and Safilert test kits for monitoring nitrates, alk, and calc.

What do you feel is your most important piece of equipment?
This is a tough question, but I would have to say my RODI followed by a great protein skimmer. Without my oversized skimmer there is no way I could feed my tank the way I do.

What other equipment do you use?
I have an RK2 contoller, a TLF phospahte reactor, and 2  Vorthech MP 40 power heads. I really love the flow that these provide.

Do you have any advice for someone new to the hobby?
Join a club and research for a while before you jump into the hobby. This hobby is expensive and it pays to do it right the first time. Find someone who's tank is an inspiration to you, and find out all you can about how they maintain their reef and the equipment that they use. Stick to your chosen method of reef keeping and make changes slowly.
